Koh Phi Phi shot to fame thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio’s film, The Beach, and the two islands are only 45 minutes from Krabi by speedboat. Consisting of Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley, their spectacular limestone rock formations are home to a wealth of underwater life and on the way we stop at Koh Bamboo Island. We get a taste of snorkelling at these lesser known spots before we enjoy lunch at Tonsai Bay. After time spent at our leisure, relaxing or swimming, we then head to Phi Phi Ley, the more remote of the two islands, which is free of any hotels or development. This is the ideal place to enjoy more swimming and snorkelling. We round off this island excursion with a visit to Viking Cave which has centuries-old art on the cave walls.

This tour takes us on a journey away from Krabi’s tourist hotspots travelling south to some lesser trodden destinations. Here we will visit a local community where the region’s famous cashew nuts are produced. Next we hop on a local long-tail boat to enjoy a 20-minute sightseeing cruise among beautiful scenery, before moving onto our next mode of transport, a samlor which is a typical Krabi mode of transportation, to Koh Klang. This small fishing island is set among mangrove forests and gives us a taste of local life. We will enjoy lunch in a floating restaurant before a short long-tail boat ride takes us back to Krabi Town.
